Upcoming work along the A5 announced by National Highways
_______________________________________________________________________
We’ll be carrying out essential resurfacing works between Edgebold and Emstrey, from 11 June to 23 June. Our work will take place on weeknights, between 9pm and 6am, under the following closures:
11 June to 16 June – A5 eastbound full closure from Edgebold Roundabout to Emstrey Island. This will include a closure of the northern half of Bayston Hill Roundabout.
17 June to 23 June – A5 westbound full closure from Emstrey Island to Bayston Hill Roundabout and A49 northbound full closure from Sharpstones Lane junction to Bayston Hill Roundabout. This will include a full closure of the southern half of Bayston Hill Roundabout.
During closures, we’ll have the following diversion routes in place – see images.
Emergency vehicles will be granted access throughout.
We’ll make every effort to ensure the impact on the local community and travelling public is kept to a minimum. We always aim to work to the programme, however unforeseen circumstances or adverse weather conditions may lead to changes.
